This policy governs all pages hosted at aspinallfoundation.org. It does not apply to pages hosted by other organisations to which we may link and whose privacy policies may differ.
For the purposes of this policy, the term "supporter" refers to someone who has given a financial donation via our secure server.
We do not collect personally identifiable information on our web site unless you voluntarily choose to give it to us via an electronic mail message, a phone call, by signing up as a supporter, or by postal mail. Even when you choose to give us information, we keep it confidential, and we bind suppliers who work with us by these conditions as well.
We do not sell or rent web-generated mailing lists or other personally identifiable information outside aspinallfoundation.org.
We do not provide mailing lists to outside agencies unless they agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy.
When submitting web forms on our website we may pass the information to 3rd party agencies for advanced textual analysis to help combat SPAM. We use the MolloM service and their privacy policy can be found at http://mollom.com/web-service-privacy-policy.
We will never send you unsolicited materials as a result of participating in our sponsorship schemes.
If you sign up in an online action such as sponsoring an animal you may be given the option to participate in future on-line actions, to receive news of actions results, to receive a newsletter or further information, or to be invited to contribute to aspinallfoundation.org. You will always be given the option to decline any or all of those choices.
If you sign up in an online action, for example purchasing a ticket, a short break or an adoption, your data will be stored in accordance with The Data Protection Act. TAF, THWAT, HPLE does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. Whenever you provide personal information we will treat that information in accordance with current UK Data Protection legislation. We hold details about you on our database in order to process your enquiry and so that you can be kept up to date with relevant details about the parks, charity, services and our wildlife conservation activities. We will not share your information to third parties except where it's part of providing a service to you - for example; email communications (if opted in), order processing, customer research and profiling. You may opt out of mailings as indicated at the bottom of every email communication sent by us or please email marketing@aspinallfoundation.org to opt out.
When you apply for the Howletts or Port Lympne Membership we will take a photograph of you. This photo will be used to identify you as the legitimate holder of your passport card when you visit the park. The Membership can only be used for admission by the person named on the front of the card and we may check Membership cards and photo ID on entrance to the park. This photo and any personal information you give us will be stored on our secure database, and will be used solely for identification purposes and will not be available to third parties. Your photograph will be used only for the administration of the Membership scheme. All the data we collect will be treated as confidential and used in keeping with our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998. We may from time to time analyze your data. This is confidential and will not be made available to external companies. Customers under the age of 16 require parental consent when providing any personal information. Customers who sign up to the Membership Scheme will be automatically subscribed to email newsletters. The newsletter will be sent out periodically and provide updates, information on special events, new contests, and special offers. This newsletter can be cancelled at any time by following the simple steps outlined at the bottom of the newsletter.
Information collected for fundraising purposes is collected on a server we own and maintain. The main server is housed with a hosting company whose privacy policies conform to our own.
Information in our website logs is not personally identifiable, and we make no attempt to link that information with the individuals that actually browse the site. The server collects information about the date and time in which our web site was accessed and the internet address of the server from which you linked to our site. We may also track, anonymously, a user's movement within the site. We use this data to improve our site performance and to evaluate traffic statistics, such as the times of day and days of week at which we see peak traffic, and to assess the relative popularity of different areas of the site.
From time to time we will collect personally identifiable information for the sole purpose of contacting you to find out why a transaction did not complete. For example, if you sponsor an animal online we will ask if you want your sponsored animal to greet you when you next come back to the site. Transactions
We make every effort to maintain customer confidentiality when securing an online payment. This includes ensuring the security of your credit card details and other personal information. All of your personal information is encrypted as it travels over the internet. When you make a booking, you enter a secure internet site (indicated by the letters https:// in the address bar and or a padlock displayed in your web browser). To protect you against credit card fraud (where someone has discovered your credit card details but do not have your card), you will be asked to enter the unique security code printed on the back of your payment card.
The Howletts Wild Animal Trust (HWAT) & The Aspinall Foundation (TAF) & Howletts & Port Lympne Estates (HPLE) uses Google Analytics to collect data about traffic through our website via Google advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers. In addition to data collected through a standard Google Analytics implementation, we use the following advertising features: Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, DoubleClick Platform integrations & Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting
TAF & THWAT will not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information collected through any Google advertising product or feature unless there is robust notice of, and the user's prior affirmative (i.e., opt-in) consent to, that merger.
