Leopardus wiedii
Margay are arboreal cats found from northern Mexico down through central and south America. They are agile and acrobatic climbers aided by broad feet, flexible toes and large claws which allow for a secure grip. They also have a long tail which gives them incredible in balance. Remarkably, their hind feet can rotate inwards through 180O, which means they are able to climb headfirst down vertical trees. They are also able to hang onto branches by their hind feet.
