We recently welcomed two stunning new lions to our collection.
Handsome male Khari arrived in July from our sister park Port Lympne, where he was born, in 2019, to the park’s very own big cat power couple, Adras and Oudrika. Having recently turned three in May, he was ready to leave his mother and sisters to start a pride of his own.
After settling in to his new life at Howletts, Khari was introduced, through a carefully-monitored 'dating’ period, to lioness Grace, a beautiful cat who arrived from Kolmården Wildlife Park, Stockholm.
The pairing was a great success, and the two lovebirds moved in together into the big cat enclosure opposite our Walking With Lemurs attraction on the east side of the park. We hope that this adorable young couple will welcome cubs in the near future!
