At Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve we are looking for a part-time Maintenance Operative to join our experienced team, who will work in and around our luxury accommodation areas and wild animal park.
As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring a well maintained and safe environment for our guests and visitors, providing a high quality of service to the wider estate at all times. Alongside the safety aspects, the Maintenance Operative will be responsible for proactive and reactive property maintenance, ensuring that all accommodation areas are maintained to a high standard.
Who we are looking for:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the building industry or will be experienced and in a specific trade, or multi-trade. You must be capable of working with minimal supervision and have a flexible approach to work, as well as the ability to rearrange work priorities at short notice to meet changing demands. You must be prepared to work outdoors in all weathers and hold a full valid UK driving licence as you will be required to drive company vehicles around the park.
Contract details:
The hours of work are 27 hours per week, worked three days out of seven. Set working days will be Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Working hours can include evenings until no later than 8pm, weekends, and bank holidays. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location. Although this role is predominantly based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, the successful candidate might be required to work at Howletts Wild Animal Park on the occasion.
