We’re looking for a proactive and strategic Marketing Manager at Port Lympne & Howletts, who will be responsible for organising and managing marketing campaigns and all internal/external guest-facing communications from creation to execution, in line with the overall marketing strategy and evolving needs of a fast-paced and multi-faceted business.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you will lead on the planning, delivery and analysis of our marketing activity, informed by our marketing strategy, covering all income streams for Howletts, Port Lympne and our partner charity: The Aspinall Foundation.
The successful applicant will be a detail-focussed proven expert in their field, with extensive experience in developing and executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns. You will have strong analytical skills and will be experienced in using those skills to turn marketing insights into actionable improvements to our ongoing marketing campaigns. You will also be a confident team manager, able to coordinate our internal marketing team and ensure that marketing activities and campaigns are delivered on brief, on time and on budget.
Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Marketing Manager with at least 3 years’ experience in a senior marketing role. You’ll have extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels and protocols, and a willingness to stay on top of the latest marketing trends and developments. You will have a proven ability to deliver successful sales and marketing campaigns of varying sizes, and strong project management skills to handle multiple concurrent projects.
A Marketing degree, CIM qualification, or equivalent experience is essential, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, be proactive, organised, and detail-focused, with a creative approach to problem-solving. Experience in leisure and hospitality is advantageous, and a passion for animal conservation is a plus.

Contract details:
This position is full time: 40 hours per week, worked 9-5pm, Monday – Friday. The role is based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve near Folkestone and reports directly into the Head of Marketing. Anticipated start date for this role is Q1 2025. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location.
