Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Supervisor to join our team. Nestled in a stunning coastal location with breathtaking views and surrounded by incredible wildlife, our award-winning short breaks accommodation offers an unparalleled guest experience.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Assistant Reception Manager and a team of skilled Receptionists to ensure the seamless operation of our reception area. From managing smooth check-ins and check-outs to delivering a consistently exceptional standard of service, you’ll be at the heart of creating memorable experiences that matter for our guests. You will lead by example - setting high standards, inspiring your team, and ensuring every guest enjoys an authentic, welcoming, and effortless experience. You’ll also carry out key receptionist duties while overseeing and mentoring team members to maintain and elevate the quality of our service.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a confident and experienced leader with a proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll have experience in supervising teams in a highly customer focused service delivery role, coaching staff, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. A strong eye for detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for success in this role.
As a natural problem solver and team player, you will lead by example - handling guest complaints with professionalism, fostering positive relationships, and maintaining high standards of appearance and service. Flexibility, a “can-do” attitude, and the ability to manage change effectively are vital qualities.
Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Office 365, and familiarity with front-of-house operations such as room booking systems (Opera experience preferred. A valid UK driving license and knowledge of GDPR, Health and Safety, and Fire Safety regulations are essential.
Contract details:
This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours a week, five days out of seven. Working hours can be between 07:00 – 23:00, as per the roster. Availability required on weekdays and weekends. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
