Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve are recruiting for a Stores/Operations Supervisor, who will be responsible for supervising the effective operational running of the off-site storage facility, and ensuring that the Operations Team are deployed effectively each day so that the park’s appearance is maintained to an exceptional standard.
This role will involve ensuring the OSSF, office and relevant containers are checked and opened promptly in the morning, to ensure that the facility is fit for operational activity that day. You will ensure that staff are organised to accept deliveries of goods into the facility, as well as ensuring the delivery of goods are completed in a timely manner and sent to the designated delivery areas. You will guarantee that all forms of ordering, stock control and delivery processes are reviewed and updated on a regular basis, as well as making sure the Park Ops team carry out their daily duties effectively within the park.
Who we are looking for:
You will have previous experience in a similar supervisory or team leader position. You will have great interpersonal skills, and be confident and knowledgeable when communicating with guests, external contractors, and members of staff. You will be confident in the use of IT systems, alongside a practical understanding of logistics and a good working knowledge of Health and Safety and Fire Safety regulations. You must have a ‘one team’ approach, be prepared to work outdoors in all weathers, and hold a full valid driving licence (including grounds B, BE, B1 as a minimum, manual gearbox), as you will be required to drive company vehicles around the park. The ability to tow a trailer is desirable.
Contract details:
This is a permanent role, five days out of seven, working 40 hours per week. Hours will be allocated on a rota basis, which can include weekends. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location.
