New Guests
Exciting News! Our newest guests have arrived and are waiting to meet you.
Our new Sumatran orangutans have arrived just in time for Spring! You can now learn all about this fascinating species and the challenges they face in the wild with our orangutan encounter.
Meet the largest South American canid with our new maned wolves. This species is crepuscular which means that they are more active in the twilight hours. Head to their new enclosure to see if you can spot them.
Plus visit our newest male northern lynx. The northern lynx is a subspecies of the Eurasian lynx. To aid movement through deep snow, they have large feet and a short tail to reduce the chance of frostbite. Our serval enclosure is located at the bottom of the park alongside the lookout café.
Keep your eyes peeled to discover our guests at the park.
Young Animals
There are so many new babies to spot at Port Lympne this Spring! On your journey to Basecamp, head through Wallaby Walk to see if you can spot the joey in our red-necked wallaby troop. Females give birth to one joey at a time, which will stay in their mother’s pouch for around 280 days!
Or, spot the youngest of our Javan gibbon family group. Gibbons can easily cover a distance of 10 metres from branch to branch. They are adapted for overhead swinging called brachiation.
Plus, you can spot the youngest of our Gorillas at the Palace of the Apes. Gorillas live in family groups consisting of one adult male, several adult females and their off-spring.
To learn more about these animals this Easter, head to one of our captivating animal talks and feeds. These are included in admission tickets but don’t forget to check for times on the talk boards at the gatehouse entrance.
