The ideal experience for aspiring animal keepers, our experience days offer the chance for your young conservationists to roll up their sleeves and join our team of animal experts for the day! They will spend a whole day meeting the animals and learning what it's like to work behind the scenes at Kent’s biggest wildlife park.

Junior Keeper for a Day
Give your child the unforgettable experience of being a junior keeper at Port Lympne! This five-hour, hands-on adventure is packed with animal encounters, fun activities, and conservation learning designed for young wildlife enthusiasts aged 7–17.
Children will feed giraffes and rhinos, create enrichment for animals, and learn about conservation from expert rangers, while parents watch and capture these special moments. Families will also enjoy a wildlife treasure trail and receive keepsakes to remember the day.
Day entry to the park is not included in the experience cost.
Minimum age: 7yrs, must be accompanied by a parent / guardian

Keeper for a Day
Step into the boots of an animal keeper and enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at Port Lympne. Work alongside expert rangers, get up close to incredible animals, and learn about conservation efforts while contributing to their care.
This immersive six-hour experience includes cleaning habitats, preparing enrichment, and even feeding some of the park's iconic species like rhinos, baboons, and meerkats. Along the way, you'll gain unique insights into the lives of these animals and the vital conservation work at Port Lympne
