IUCN Status: Vulnerable
Neofelis nebulosa
Found in western mainland Asia, as far west as Nepal and listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red list, clouded leopards inhabit tropical forests. They are capable of hanging from their rear feet, upside down from branches and are very agile climbers, most at home in the canopy where they hunt for primates, birds, slow lorises, ground squirrels, pangolins, porcupines and hog deer. Their most remarkable feature is that they possess the largest canines, in proportion to their body size, out of all the cats.
